Happy Monday! We're starting off the week with some beautiful bridal inspiration all the way from New Zealand! Our retailer Paperswan Bride collaborated with a selection of seriously talented vendors to bring our LD6015 dress to life in the most striking way. We love how it pairs with both an edgy gold headpiece as well as a more traditional, lacy veil. Thank you so much to Jaymee Photography for sharing and to the rest of this amazing team:

It's the week of HB6365! The softness and delicate movement of this dress make it such a beautiful choice for spring and summer weddings, and Chrissy's is no exception. She is so elegantly styled with our OY1000 belt at her seaside affair at the Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI. Many thanks to Oggi Photography for sharing and many congratulations to Chrissy & Jason!
A clear blue sky, lush greens and bright blooms- the setting for Maria's garden wedding couldn't be more perfect! She is stunning in HB6365 against the backdrop at Crabtrees Kittle House in Chappaqua, NY. Maria is one of those brides who is not only beautiful, but whose genuine kindness and elegance will truly stay with us for a long time. Thank you so much to Corey Torpie for the beautiful images- check out even more on her blog! Congratulations again to Maria & Peter, we wish you all the very best!
Thanks to our friends Paperswan Bride, we have come across some truly beautiful brides in New Zealand. Jane is stunning in LD6015 and when you couple that with amazing landscapes captured by the talented photographer Nicole Marsden, the result is just magical... Thank you Nicole for sharing your beautiful body of work with us!!
We started the week with some beautiful images from our bride Marcy's wedding and are so excited to share even more today! CJ from Charlie Juliet Photography is one of the many talented photographers we have been lucky enough to come across. She couldn't have captured Marcy's wedding at The Foundry more beautifully. It's NY at its best and Marcy looks so incredibly elegant in DC6500! Thank you so much CJ for sharing and congratulations Marcy and David!
After the rain, comes the sun! Today we are so excited to finally share the rest of the photos from Amy & Craig's wedding along the shores of O'ahu. Following an unexpected storm and power outage during their reception, it's safe to say the couple was rewarded with this absolutely breathtaking backdrop at sunset. The extremely talented photographer, Erin Paris captured the stunning Hawaiian landscape as well as our stunning bride Amy in HB6565 so magically and we are so very grateful to share her work with you all! Congratulations again to Amy & Craig, we wish you all the very best~
Every once in a while, we come across a wedding that overwhelms us with it's beauty. There are so many amazing shots from Amy & Craig's wedding in Hawaii that we decided to share them in two parts! The couple was married at Sunset Ranch in Haleiwa, O'ahu and we absolutely love the way they made the best of the unexpected rain that day. The umbrellas during the ceremony, and rainbow afterwards make it all the more special! An incredibly huge thank you to Erin Paris for capturing it all! Amy (who looks flawlessly elegant in HB6565) also shared with us one of the more special moments of the day, during her and Craig's first dance. She said, "Our reception was in a barn and there was actually a big storm that night and the power went out for a few hours after dinner was served. Because of this, we had our first dance on the dance floor lit by our guests' cell phones and Craig's mom led them in singing "You are my sunshine" since we had no power for the speakers to play music. We couldn't use a phone to play the song because the sound would be drowned out by the pouring rain. Amazingly, one of our guests had just purchased a guitar that day and had it in his car, so he ran out and got it and played a few songs for us, while one of Craig's groomsmen sang." Although the photos of this moment are romantic themselves, Amy sent us the video and it truly gave us the chills. Make sure to scroll down to see it play out and check with us next week for the rest of the breathtaking shots Amy and Craig took through the Hawaiian sunset!
To be continued...
We are so very lucky to connect with talented professionals from all over the world. Today our friends at Tausendschoen Photography transport us to Germany with this dreamy, wintry photoshoot featuring our AH6200 dress. The way the snowy setting reflects the light is such an amazing complement to the weightless organza skirt. Special thanks to our retailer Perera Rusche for making it all possible!
DL6055 is such a uniquely special dress. Glass beads are hand beaded over a delicate scalloped motif to give it the most gentle sparkle when hit by the light. In this shoot outside a California casista, the extremely talented, Alexandra Wallace highlights the sleek silhouette and the subtle elegance of DL6055 but also the breathtaking hillside landscape. Thank you so much for this stunning set of images and providing such beautiful inspiration for modern brides-to-be!
We love collaborating with vendors to create styled shoots for inspiration. When the art of so many talented professionals come together, the result is truly spectacular. Today we're excited to share a stylized shoot at the picturesque Oatlands historic mansion in Leesburg, Virginia. We love the elegant styling of HB6979 in black from our bridesmaids collection and the truly romantic ceremony setting. Thank you again to everyone who took part, especially Lissa Ryan Photography for capturing and sharing all of these amazing shots!

She is truly stunning in HB6622 at her beach wedding in Cape Haze, Florida. Mallory said, "I wanted our wedding to be straight forward, simple and gorgeous." It's safe to say her mission was accomplished and far exceeded with each of these photos being more breathtaking than the last. Thank you so much to Villetto Photography for sharing! Congratulations again to Mallory & Justin, we wish you all the very best~ Saja: How did you meet? Mallory: Justin and I went to high school together. He was friends with my best friends older brother. We did not like each other AT ALL! We reconnected 7 years later on Facebook and started chatting. We had our "first date" watching basketball and chatting and we have been together ever since! Saja: How did he propose? Mallory: We had been together just over four years when Justin decided to propose. He waited until I went out of town to head up to Boston to custom design a ring for me. His mother drove the ring down from Boston to give it to him. He planned to get a limo and take me out to a nice dinner, but once he had the ring he just couldn't wait. He picked me up from work one day and brought me to the beach. I am a beach-aholic so it didn't raise any red flags. He got down on one knee while I was sitting on a jetty and told me he wanted to make me happy for the rest of our lives and asked me to marry him. It was just the two of us and it was absolutely perfect. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Mallory: Our wedding took place at Palm Island Resort in Cape Haze, Florida. I have been going there since I was a little girl. It is gorgeous, relaxed and perfect. When we got engaged we knew it was the place! Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Mallory: My favorite photo is the one of us in the dunes at sunset. It captures everything that was perfect about our day and our love for each other. Saja: What was your favorite part of the day?
Mallory: My favorite part of the day was how much fun all of our guests had. Watching all of our hard work pay off with smiles on their faces meant so much, all we wanted was for our guests to be as happy as we were on our wedding day. I do have to say though that my Saja wedding dress was right up there. I was so insanely comfortable, I could move, I wasn't too hot and I looked beautiful, it was perfect. We're starting out the week with these amazing photos from Rui & Varian's wedding. Although we never met her in person, we spent some time getting to know Rui via FaceTime and absolutely love seeing how beautifully she looks in HB6899 for her special day! Her laid back ceremony is quaint and full of love, and we love the way the groom matches the decor! Thank you so much to Xinning from Ivan Tan Photography and many, many congratulations to Rui & Varian!! Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Rui: The getting ready together in the hotel room - being both cosy and euphoric together – Var putting flowers in my hair, my straightening his bowtie, elbowing each other and chuckling OMG ARE YOU READY?! And sneaking some sushi before we left so we wouldn’t faint during the ceremony. Saja: How did you meet? Rui: Varian and I are both alumni of Columbia University in NYC- he graduated from the engineering school in 2001 and I graduated from the college in 2010. Although we first met in 2006 before I left for New York, it was only after I moved back to Singapore in 2010 and he invited me to a Jose James gig at his bar that we started seeing each other seriously. Saja: How did he propose? Rui: He proposed late in the evening at Diner, in Brooklyn. We were on holiday last April, hanging out with old friends in New York. It was just about time for dessert when he left his seat across from me to sit beside me, and he took my hand and played with the ring on my left middle finger. Having had a couple of drinks and fearing he’d drop it in the restaurant, I was like “um give me back my ring!” to which he obliged, and for the next few moments I was wondering why the ring I now had on looked different and didn’t fit on the same finger – then I was like OHHH WOAH wait a minute and it dawned on me that he had just proposed. With his late grandmother’s ring! Saja: Is there anything you can point out about your pictures that we might not have noticed? Rui: There was a big delay in the ring exchange! Instead of gently untying the knot holding the wedding bands together, Var somehow turned it into a dead knot instead. So the ceremony was suspended for what felt like an eternity while he unpicked the tangle, with gentle encouragement from the officiant. It was tense but absurdly hilarious at the same time. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Rui: The civil ceremony took place at Kilo Lounge in Singapore. We loved the laid back vibe and spaciousness of the venue, on the top floor of a converted industrial building outside the city centre, with views of water and lovely leafy trees. Also we just love the food at Kilo restaurant so the sister lounge was a natural choice. Part II of our wedding (the traditional banquet) is happening this October, in a giant tent on the lawn of a hilltop colonial building. Saja: Who are the vendors who brought your to special day to life? Rui: Our photographer is the lovely Xinning from Ivan Tan Photography, wedding bands and engagement ring are from Fairy’s Inc. Heartfelt thanks go to my dearest mom who gamely did all the flowers and my decoration committee of relatives/friends. Make-up was DIY, hair was a combination of help from from Kazuki at Kizuki+LIM and my very own groom. And a huge thank you as well to Yoo herself from Saja, who emergency FaceTimed me to make sure the dress fit as it should! Saja; Which of the photos is your favorite? Why? Rui: I like the photos where we are perched on a random steel barrier in front of an overgrown field. I love the greenery and the simplicity of sitting outside together in the breeze, just being happy. Saja: Anything else you would like to share with us?
Rui: I just want to share some great advice that a dear friend gave me: “Everything goes by really, really fast. So don't spend any second being critical or worried about stuff. No one will notice that the tablecloth is crooked. This is one of those moments in life to let yourself just be and enjoy. Every once in a while, take a breath to just step back to watch the room. It will be full of so many of the most important people in your life, and they will have all come out just to share this moment with you. How amazing is that?!! You are loved. Bask in that, and celebrate it with the ones you love.” Jae Choon was such an incredibly lovely (and not to mention beautiful) bride to work with. She came to us with a vision for her intimate garden wedding, and we love the way it came to life in our HB6365 dress. The East Village holds so much meaning to Jae Choon and Chuck, so naturally they chose the neighborhood to host their special day. Every shot from the garden ceremony, to the street art in front an old apartment of Jae Choon's, to their cozy reception at Lucien is full of meaning. Thank you so much to Monika of Monika Broz Photography for taking us through the couple's romantic day and capturing it all so beautifully! Congratulations again to Jae Choon, Chuck and their new family~ Saja: How did you meet? Jae Choon: We met at our local dive bar in the East Village (2A). It was a Tuesday night and there were only 5 people in the bar including Donovan, the bartender. Everyone started chatting with each other and FaceBook requests were exchanged. We were both involved with other people at the time, so we were friends/neighborhood acquaintances for a year before we started dating. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Jae Choon: We had our wedding at 6BC Botanical Garden. It's a magical little green space in the heart of Alphabet City. We had our reception at Lucien, where we had our first official date. Our romance started and blossomed in the East Village, so it was really special for us to celebrate our union, "east village style." Saja: How did he/she propose? Jae Choon: We lived in Amsterdam for 2 years. Chuck proposed on our last full day there, before returning to New York. We were walking our dog and trying to savor our last moments in that beautiful city. He stopped to take a picture on a quiet, quaint, side canal and popped the question. We had a going-away party planned for that evening, which doubled as an engagement party. All of my friends knew before I did. I was wonderfully surprised. Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Jae Choon: Being with my best friend and lover. "Officially" joining our homes, lives, and hearts. Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why? Jae Choon: Our kiss in front of some street art on 2nd street. I actually lived in that apartment building when I first met Chuck. Saja: Is there anything you can point out about your pictures that we might not have noticed?
Jae Choon: I was 3 months pregnant at the time! What better way to head in to the weekend than with these amazing photos of Rachel & Dustin's wedding. The way Melissa from Happy Confetti Photography captured the sunlight in so many of these shots is truly breathtaking. Everything from the bride's bouquet to the incredible backdrop to the ceremony to the reception decor is bold, colorful and full of whimsical personality. Rachel makes such a stunning bride in our HB6622 dress and we're loving the shimmering shrug she chose for the cooler part of the evening. Thank you so much again to quite the talented photographer and congratulations again to such a lovely bride and groom~
From the first time we met Ali, we knew she was a very special bride. She is beautiful, kind, smart and simply lovely to be around. We even had the pleasure of meeting both of her amazing parents (to do a bit of sash tying practice before the big day!) From the proposal to their bike getaway, Ali & Sean's wedding is full of this couple's personality and love for one another. She couldn't look any more gorgeous in our HB6622 dress, the perfect choice for the simple elegance of the Brooklyn Grange. Thank you so much to the bride and groom's dear friend Phil Anema for capturing all of the beauty this day had to offer. Congratulations again to Ali and Sean, we wish you and your family all the very best! Saja: How did you meet? Ali: We met at church Saja: How did he propose? Ali: Sean planned an entire adventure day around the city (beginning at 5:30AM). We got on our bikes and began by crossing into Brooklyn to our favorite coffee shop (Ted & Honey). Then we went back to Manhattan and biked up to central park where we walked down lovers lane as well as spent some time in my favorite wing of the MET. We then biked back to the west village to a German Beer Garden (Laderhosen). Finally we ended up on my rooftop with iced coffees in hand. Throughout the day, Sean was taking pictures of us on his new Polaroid camera. He had over the past few months written 5 different letters to me about the life he wanted to commit to together - a life of: stillness, generosity, gratitude, adventure and curiosity. In each letter, he had placed Polaroid pics from the day's adventure which connected to each. Then, he said that none of this mattered without love and faithfulness. He then got out a ring and proposed... Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Ali: The Brooklyn Grange at the Navy Yard - we had to get married on a rooftop. In the midst of the crazy city we call home, rooftops offer a respite as well as a moment of stillness to reflect and appreciate the life's beauty and simplicity. Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Ali: We had a single banquet table with our 86 guests. The best part of the day was sitting at the end of the table with Sean, sunshine on our backs, and looking down the line of the incredible friends and family who were with us. Saja: Is there anything you can point out in the photos that we might not have noticed? Ali: I loved how easy going the dress was - it was elegant, but it also held up when Sean and I climbed up a water tower and road away on our tandem bike! Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why?
Ali: When we are on the bike and Sean is kissing my forehead. It's my favorite because no one was around us for that photo and it felt so right to be on the bike riding home together...also i like it when he kisses my forehead. :-) We are not going to lie, today's weather leaves much to be desired in NYC... So it's to our delight to receive these beautiful pictures from Nora's wedding and dream about the warm weather to come. Nora and Clay make one happy and handsome couple and we wish them lifetime of happiness together. She is so stunning in HB6633 and these wonderful shots were taken by Isabelle Selby, we are such huge fans of her work!
Lizzie & Dan's New Years Eve wedding in the desert is simply breathtaking. The couple and some close friends have vacationed here many times over the course of their 10 year relationship, so they thought it was the perfect location for their intimate celebration. Lizzie is truly stunning in LD6015 and we love her bright florals against the raw desert backdrop. Thank you so very much to Rebecca from Birds of a Feather for capturing the striking beauty of this bride on her special day. Congratulations to Lizzie & Dan, we wish you all the very best in the future~ Make sure to catch it on Green Wedding Shoes too!
Excited to share this gallery of gorgeous images from Ben Q. Photography. Check out the stunning way he captured the sheer neckline on our HB6565 alongside some lush, earthy florals by our friends at bows and arrows. We also love how the headpiece of greens sits low at the back of the bride's loose curls. Thanks to an amazing team of vendors for creating such beauty and sharing it with us! We have been so excited to share these photos from our bride Alex's wedding. Her wedding took place at her family's restaurant in Cape May and there is so much love incorporated into each and every aspect of the day. She looks so delicately elegant in our CH6300 dress, it was perfect choice for the light and intimate event surrounded by friends and family. Thank you so much to Sasha and Jessie Felix of Felix Studios for these gorgeous photos, we had a hard time choosing between them! Thanks also to Cape Winds Florist, Steve Olszewski and Nikki Valentine for the decor and Wesley Laudeman and Lindsay Givens for the invitations. And finally congratulations to Alex and Brad, we wish you all the very best!! Saja: How did you meet? Alex: We met in college at Wake Forest University. We were friends and neighbors and slowly fell in love with each other. Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Alex: I absolutely love them all. I love the series in front of the white barn door, especially one where we are looking at each other and the sleeve of my dress is fluttering. There's one where we are both looking past the camera and laughing because our neighbors were sneaking pictures from their upstairs windows, it was a moment that broke our nerves. Saja: How did he propose? Alex: He proposed on Christmas Eve in our kitchen. I was sick and had worked a long night, was tired and not feeling well. He was making me tea and called me in to help him find it in the cabinet. I turned the corner and he was on one knee. Even though I knew it was coming he managed to take me completely by surprise. Saja: Is there anything about the photos you can point out that we might have missed? Alex: We tried to use the strengths and skills of our friends whenever possible. Our best friend Gabe married us. It was the most genuine and heartwarming ceremony we could've dreamed of. My friend Steve Olszewski did all of the decor for the wedding, perfectly capturing the time, place, and mood of the moment. He even hand-dyed the bunting around the altar and his mom sewed it! My sister and my best friend did all of the illustrations and lettering on our invitations. They turned out perfectly intimate and playful, each with a special significance. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? Alex: The wedding took place at my father's restaurant The Lobster House in Cape May, NJ. The restaurant has been in our family since its inception 3 generations ago; I worked there growing up, and the people there are like family so I always knew it had to be there. It's historic, on the waterfront, and just a spectacular setting so we tried to let it shine without too much fuss. Saja: What was your favorite part of the day?
Alex: This is nearly impossible to answer! Walking down our makeshift aisle on the dock with my father as all of our friends and family cheered and clapped was absolutely momentous. Dancing with Brad to "Once in a Lifetime" by the Talking Heads, dizzy with champagne and joy was a high point of my life as well. Katie & Ryan's wedding took place at what the bride called her "favorite place in the world." Everything from the setting to Katie's styling is simply breathtaking and the sheer details on HB6633 make it all the more stunning. Thank you so much to Eminence Photo for capturing all of this beauty and sharing it with us. Many congratulations to Katie and Ryan, we wish you all the very best~ Saja: How did you meet? Katie: We met in NYC and were set up by Ryan’s cousin and my best friend who were dating at the time. Saja: How did he propose? Katie: Ryan proposed at my family’s farm – the same place that we were married. It’s where I grew up and is incredibly special to me. Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why? Katie: The photo of us kissing after we got married is one of my favorites because of the look of joys on our brothers’ and my sister’s faces. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Katie: The wedding took place on my family farm where I grew up, and is one of my favorite places in the world. Saja: What was your favorite part of the day?
Katie: The whole day was incredibly special because of all of the wonderful people that it involved and how personal the details were to us. My brother married us, my sister and Ryan’s brother were are best man + maid of honor that married us, the cord, veil + coins that we used during the ceremony were the same ones that Ryan’s brother and sister used in their weddings, and the hanky that was wrapped around my bouquet is the same one that my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother used in their weddings. We can’t imagine a better wedding. Although it may not be the real thing, Janna and Justin's styled wedding by Lea Nicole Photography is simply stunning. We love the beautiful way she brought our HB6622 to life. Special thanks to Mary Kendall Butler of Bella Bridesmaids in Mobile, Rae Culver, Whitlee Mullis, Kamee Style, and Lush Makeup Art by Rebecca as well for their hands in styling such gorgeous inspiration. Hope this brightens your Monday the way it did ours!
