Thanks to very talented Kate Crabtree, we are able to share these amazing pictures from Arielle & Jesse's wedding at Peaks Island Maine wedding. No wonder these pictures were not only featured on Seacoast Weddings but also graced the cover! Arielle looks stunning in our HB6365 wedding dress. The beautiful floral arrangements were created by Blue Fern Designs.

Happy Friday! Minerva & Erik's bright and eco-friendly wedding is such a great inspiration to take into the weekend. The delicate flutter sleeves and lightly draped skirt on HB6365 are the perfect fit for her summer wedding at Elysian in LA. Our bride, Minerva is a dietician and opted for seasonal herbs, fruits and veggies in lieu of flowers and centerpieces, encouraging her guests to snack throughout the day! Each detail, down to the thousand paper cranes made by Minerva's mom, is full of thought and love. Thank you so much to Nick Parker of Parkershots for sharing these with us! Congratulations again to such a lovely couple!
Ever since we saw the feature on Style Me Pretty, we've been obsessing over these photos from Heidi Lau and Artiese Studios for LENS Workshops. We love hearing when Saja brides-to-be are planning their destination weddings in Greece, and this gorgeous Santorini-themed styling is such perfect inspiration! Thanks as always to our friends at Sash & Bustle for lending HB6365 to such a talented bunch!
From Venice, with love! We are so excited to share these stunningly romantic shots from Justina Bilodeau. We love the way HB6365 pairs with the All About Romance accessories and Bella Belle shoes. Thank you so much to this team for such a beautiful collaboration~
It's the week of HB6365! The softness and delicate movement of this dress make it such a beautiful choice for spring and summer weddings, and Chrissy's is no exception. She is so elegantly styled with our OY1000 belt at her seaside affair at the Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI. Many thanks to Oggi Photography for sharing and many congratulations to Chrissy & Jason!
A clear blue sky, lush greens and bright blooms- the setting for Maria's garden wedding couldn't be more perfect! She is stunning in HB6365 against the backdrop at Crabtrees Kittle House in Chappaqua, NY. Maria is one of those brides who is not only beautiful, but whose genuine kindness and elegance will truly stay with us for a long time. Thank you so much to Corey Torpie for the beautiful images- check out even more on her blog! Congratulations again to Maria & Peter, we wish you all the very best!
Jae Choon was such an incredibly lovely (and not to mention beautiful) bride to work with. She came to us with a vision for her intimate garden wedding, and we love the way it came to life in our HB6365 dress. The East Village holds so much meaning to Jae Choon and Chuck, so naturally they chose the neighborhood to host their special day. Every shot from the garden ceremony, to the street art in front an old apartment of Jae Choon's, to their cozy reception at Lucien is full of meaning. Thank you so much to Monika of Monika Broz Photography for taking us through the couple's romantic day and capturing it all so beautifully! Congratulations again to Jae Choon, Chuck and their new family~ Saja: How did you meet? Jae Choon: We met at our local dive bar in the East Village (2A). It was a Tuesday night and there were only 5 people in the bar including Donovan, the bartender. Everyone started chatting with each other and FaceBook requests were exchanged. We were both involved with other people at the time, so we were friends/neighborhood acquaintances for a year before we started dating. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Jae Choon: We had our wedding at 6BC Botanical Garden. It's a magical little green space in the heart of Alphabet City. We had our reception at Lucien, where we had our first official date. Our romance started and blossomed in the East Village, so it was really special for us to celebrate our union, "east village style." Saja: How did he/she propose? Jae Choon: We lived in Amsterdam for 2 years. Chuck proposed on our last full day there, before returning to New York. We were walking our dog and trying to savor our last moments in that beautiful city. He stopped to take a picture on a quiet, quaint, side canal and popped the question. We had a going-away party planned for that evening, which doubled as an engagement party. All of my friends knew before I did. I was wonderfully surprised. Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Jae Choon: Being with my best friend and lover. "Officially" joining our homes, lives, and hearts. Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why? Jae Choon: Our kiss in front of some street art on 2nd street. I actually lived in that apartment building when I first met Chuck. Saja: Is there anything you can point out about your pictures that we might not have noticed?
Jae Choon: I was 3 months pregnant at the time! Maureen was such a lovely presence in our store. We always said she looked like Elizabeth Taylor, and she is truly stunning in HB6365 on her wedding day. With Yan's friends and family coming all the way from Australia and the couple's friends coming in from New York, they were surrounding by much love for their special day. We are so grateful to Heidi-O-Photo for sharing Maureen's special day with us. Many congratulations to Maureen and Yan, we wish you all the very best~ Saja: How did you meet? Maureen: We met in New York :) I was a grad student at NYU and he was doing engineering research there. Saja: How did he propose? Maureen: After my graduation, Yan took me to Blue Hill Stone Barns, a working farm/restaurant in Westchester, to celebrate. I love gardening and fancy myself a bit of an urban farmer (at least as much as a New York apartment will allow). He proposed in the vegetable patch. It was spring so all of the little vegetables were just coming in and the sun was setting over the Hudson. It was really gorgeous. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Maureen: We got married at a 1920s cottage on the cliffs over looking the ocean in San Diego, California. I grew up there and so the area is sentimental but also really beautiful. The whole event was outdoors under market lights. And the view of the sunset is incredible. Saja: Is there anything you can point out in the photos that we might not have noticed? Maureen: Our bridal party was made up of just our siblings, my brother and two sisters and Yan's brother. We got all got ready at my grandparents house which was really special. Saja: Which of the photos is your favorites? Why? Maureen: My favorite is the one of Yan and I looking out over the ocean. I love the succulents growing wildly on the cliffs, the beautiful sunset, and of course the dress looks gorgeous! Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Why?
Maureen: My family is mostly from San Diego, but Yan is from Australia. A lot of his friends and family made the big trip for our wedding. Also, our friends all came out from New York. Having all of the people you love and care about most, especially from so many different places, there to celebrate with us was so humbling and so much fun. Kira's wedding in the Russian countryside is straight out of a fairytale. She and Misha wanted an intimate and serene experience where their families could get to know one another, and we have to say the result is breathtaking! We love the serene countryside setting and the gorgeous way she styled HB6365. Thank you so much to Olga Golovizina for capturing all of it for us! Many congratulations to this beautiful bride and her groom~ Saja: How did you meet? Kira: We met through mutual friends about 6 years ago in Russia. He was living in New York then and came to visit his family. After a year-long distance relationship I came to visit him and we haven't separated since. Saja: How did he propose? Kira: I was in Miami for Art Basel week with my friends and Misha was staying in New York. On the last day of my trip he wasn’t picking up his phone all day and in the evening when I was at the hotel he called me and said he was downstairs. I was super happy about this surprise but I didn’t see a bigger surprise coming! The next day we drove towards Key West and stayed at a hotel on one of the islands. That night we were having dinner at a restaurant on the beach when they brought a plate with desert and a flower. I was so relaxed and unaware that I didn’t see the ring in the flower right away! I ltheiterally noticed it when I already had a desert spoon in my hand ready to try the cake. Next moment Misha was on his knee asking me to marry him. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Kira: We wanted to do our wedding somewhere quiet and tranquil in Russia with our families and close friends. So we picked a venue in the countryside, literally in the middle of nowhere, with lots of trees, fresh air, stables with horses and a nice restaurant. Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Kira: My favorite part was the ceremony. We both were super excited about our families meeting each other for the first time and being with us when we said our vows. We haven’t seen some of our guests for two years! So when they all came to congratulate us after we exchanged the rings I just couldn’t believe that it was all real! Saja: Is there anything you can point out about your picture that we might not have noticed?
Kira: It was the first warm and sunny weekend in two months! Usually summer in Russia isn’t that bad but we got really lucky with the weather (it’s been raining several weeks before and right after the wedding weekend). These photos from Danielle Poff's workshop are straight out of a day dream. HB6365 is the perfect dress for a bit of ethereal inspiration and the warm lighting in combination with the movement of this dress is captured so magically. Thank you so very much for sharing with us~
We've always said HB6365 is the perfect dress for a garden wedding, and Allison's is the perfect example! She looks elegant, ethereal and truly stunning. Thank you so much to Rob Korb Photography for the amazing images and congratulations again to Allison and Jake ~
We hope that everyone had a lovely Labor Day Weekend! To get back into the swing of things, join us in swooning over Umeko's wedding on a remote island in Alaska- full of breathtaking scenery and rustic romance. She looks like an ethereal goddess in her HB6365 dress and we absolutely love the way it moves with the ocean breeze. Thank you so much to Lindsey Bolling for the truly inspired set of images. Saja: How did you meet? Umeko: We met as freshmen at the California Maritime Academy in 2003, both of us trying to get our USCG licenses. I was a Cali girl, and was very curious about this quiet red head from Alaska. Saja: How did he propose? Umeko: Ryan proposed on the downtown Seattle ferris wheel with his grandmothers beautiful antique engagement ring on Valentines Day, even though our trip to Seattle was so that he could do some USCG testing. I was surprised, and called my grandmother who loves him, right away. Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there? Umeko: We chose Loring, AK- a remote community outside of Ketchikan. Kethchikan is already on an island but we wanted an even more private location. The historic significance and scenic beauty of Loring was just perfect, all guests had to take a 40 minute boat ride- which they loved! Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Umeko: All of it. Hitting the dock and realizing all the planning had come together. Looking up into the sky and thanking the clouds for keeping their rain in. Porpoises were jumping, eagles were everywhere and dogs were running free off the leash. With my wonderful guests all working to put it together, it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Saja: Is there anything you can point out about your pictures that we might not have noticed? Umeko: Everything in the wedding was brought to the site by boat, and carried up the docks, and set up by every guest there. Our families made all the food, the decorations, the flowers, the arbor. A true Alaskan wedding where everyone does what they can. No caterers, just love. Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why? Umeko: They are all favorites, but the one I will get printed the largest frame is probably the one of our backs, on the rocks looking over the ocean. That photo captures the timeless landscape and the ocean that we both work, play and live on. Its a photo that I can easily see, in this giant universe, I am exactly where I need to be. Umeko said, "Neither a destination wedding, or an adventure wedding- it was truly our unique Alaskan wedding. Our special guests were the 89 year old grandparents on both sides, who had to take planes from Iowa and Cali and boat rides, and walk up slippery docks and steep hills to be here in our special location with us. I will always be grateful that they made the trip."
Congratulations to such a lovely bride and groom! We thank you for everything you do for our country and truly wish you all the best~ We had the pleasure of working with the very talented Casey Fatchett for a styled shoot… slightly different than we're used to. Casey's concept involved an aerial wedding starring a Saja bride floating on a trapeze with bridesmaids hanging from silks surrounding her. The dresses drift so beautifully through these photos and achieve a truly dreamy effect. Thank you so much for such incredible work and for such an inspired vision! Check out even more on Casey's blog.
